We're now three weeks away from the official release date of the Steam Deck handheld Linux gaming machine. The good news is that Verified titles have been growing nicely!

Still nothing compared to the overall Steam library but we do fully expect a lot more titles to appear. This is just the beginning and not being verified doesn't mean a game won't work.

What we're seeing shape up here, is easily going to be the most incredible launch line-up of games for anything - ever. Place your bets, what do you think the total number of Deck Verified titles will be on February 25 when the Steam Deck hits the official launch?

This is only those titles fully Verified too as there's also now 111 titles that are marked as Playable like Factorio, RimWorld, The Witcher 3, Deep Rock Galactic, Valheim, Morrowind, Path of Exile and the list goes on. Some of the reasons being text too small, manual graphics settings adjustments needed, launchers, spotty gamepad support and so on. We expect many of the Playable titles to improve or even get Verified before the Steam Deck launches.

Have you decided on the first game you will be loading up yet?

First game I'll be trying, just for the sake of it, Minecraft.
Thanks to the LambdaControls mod, you can play Minecraft Java with a Controller, and it's often better than playing Minecraft Bedrock with a Controller, simply because the mod is so modular and configurable.

Tho if there will ever be a mod that supports Gyro controls for Minecraft, that would be the non plus ultra.

Put me down for 500 verified games by launch on Feb 25th.

First game? Hm, I'm thinking Stardew Valley would be perfect for the Deck.

Katamari would definitely have been my first game on it. That's such a cute little game that is excellent for handheld.
The Katamari games were amongst my absolute favourite games on the PSP.

Conveniently the launcher is on Flathub so you don't have to bother with "developer mode" and such.

Firewatch is verified now. Might be a good one to test 3d control without being rushed.

Probably going to play a round of Stellaris - or an RTS like Timerborn - the first I do, it was how I christened my Steam Controller after all. (Civ: V back then)

Ohh what. I didn't even know Supaplex is on Steam. Thats my childhood. Remember playing it back in 96 or 97 or something. Looks like also linux native, might grab it just for nostalgia :)

Kind of funny to see Rocket League on there when it's no longer even available for sale. Valve is definitely "being the bigger man" in their conflict with Epic.

Witcher 3 and CP2077... I'm hoping for some nice Steam Deck surprises along the Next Gen versions releases.
