Classic city-builder Nebuchadnezzar gets a big free update and DLC

By - | Views: 26,401

Nebuchadnezzar, a classic isometric city-builder has continued to get some big upgrades with a new release out and an expansion DLC too.

Designed much like the original Pharaoh from 1999, and looks like an upgraded version of it. Initially it struggled at release due to some missing features but the developers at Nepos Games have really pulled it out the bag here. The free 1.4 update adds in: walls to secure your city, warfare, diplomacy improvements, increased map sizes, an update to the original campaign to add in some warfare missions, a colourblind mode and more.

On top of the huge free update they also released Nebuchadnezzar: The Adventures of Sargon DLC. This includes a whole new campaign along with a fully voiced dialogs system for those of you wanting to play through more.

Now rated Very Positive from users on Steam, seems like they've done well with it. Nice to see it continue to be upgraded.

You can buy it from GOG and Steam.

It's cool to see the game moving forward, even though the way they implemented warfare will make some players angry (people who wanted a AOE-like experience). They decided to integrate the feature while still focusing on the city-building experience. I for one like it, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
