It's been quite a while overdue but Mesa 23.2 is getting set to finally released, with a fourth Release Candidate now available for testing.
Writing in the announcement, developer Dylan Baker mentioned they're hoping this fourth RC is the last, with the plan to release it in full on Wednesday. However it will be released as 23.2.1, since they accidentally tagged a 23.2.0 release a little while ago that was removed.
Baker also mentioned that they will continue pulling in some patches, and contacting developers whose patches didn't apply cleanly, and so they're hoping for a shorter cycle to get to the next point release with Mesa 23.2.2 next week.
It's generally advisable to wait for the first point release, so you may want to hold off until Mesa 23.2.2 next week — if the current release schedule actually goes to plan.

Why not wait, incorporate the the patches that would have been in the point release and just do 23.2 ?

actually looking forward to this one - I've been too lazy to use mesa-git.
