After revealing the Deus Ex Remastered back in September, Aspyr faced a fair amount of backlash on the style of it and now it has been delayed. There's no date being shared for when it might release now.
They posted on Steam and across social media to say:
Thank you to the community for your feedback following the reveal of Deus Ex Remastered.
We've listened to what you had to say, and in order to better meet fan expectations and deliver the best possible experience for players, Deus Ex Remastered will no longer launch on Feb. 5, 2026.
We look forward to sharing more updates with you when the time comes.
All existing preorders will be fully refunded. Thank you again for your patience and support.
When we hear any more about a new date, we'll let you know. That's if it doesn't get cancelled.
Hopefully they'll be able to bring it up to a standard that Deus Ex fans will love, as it would be great to see it done properly and bring new players into the Deus Ex universe with it. Perhaps they need to take a look at what Nightdive Studios have been doing with their many highly successful updates of older games.

Quoting: Tethys84I really wish all remasters would be given to Nightdive. No one comes anywhere close to their quality. Aspyr, of all developers, doing remasters is nuts. They were exclusively known for porting games to Mac all the way back to the 1990s. I don't know when they started doing projects like this.Blade Runner: "Enhanced" Edition would have a word with you. That one is a proper disaster. MVG damaged Nightdive's (and his own) reputation singlehandedly there. This is basically THE reason I'm not going in blind with Nightdive. The most recent Blood: Refreshed Supply apparently does Blood's already sloppy prior remaster history justice.
Overall, they seem to be the most competent remaster house around, sure, but they've had their share of sloppy work out. Speculation on my part, but it looks like it largely depends on who's looking over their shoulders. Microsoft/Bethesda? You're getting solid work and proper fixes, and community communication, and probably a free upgrade to boot. Atari? Abandon all hope. Disney? Mostly fine, but you'll be paying a premium no matter what happens there.
