Another big event is here with the Steam Spring Sale 2026 - and you know the drill, lots and lots of games have some pretty juicy discounts. You all probably have a big wishlist full of what you want already right? And a Steam Library filled with games you're still yet to even click play on I bet. I know it's not just me.

Valve have their usual event trailer below with some highlights:

For this initial sales article I'm focusing specifically on indie games. Those that I consider are total gems and just think are truly worth supporting and grabbing.

Starting off with Native Linux games:

Old World - 90% off
Old World is a revolutionary new historical strategy game where you lead your dynasty over generations of rule against rival kings and queens. Wage massive wars, manage your court, and build a dynasty — or watch your empire crumble to dust. What legacy will you leave behind?

Cassette Beasts - 60% off
Collect awesome monsters to use during turn-based battles in this open-world RPG, now with online multiplayer mode. Combine any two monster forms using Cassette Beasts’ Fusion System to create unique and powerful new ones!

Chained Echoes - 60% off
Take up your sword, channel your magic or board your Mech. Chained Echoes is a 16-bit style RPG set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits.

Dome Keeper - 60% off (multiplayer update next month!)
Defend against waves of alien monsters in this unique roguelike action miner. Dig for resources, collect useful gadgets, and upgrade equipment to increase odds of survival – just hurry back before your dome is destroyed!

The Wandering Village - 50% off
The Wandering Village is a city-building simulation game on the back of a giant, wandering creature. Build your settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with the colossus. Will you survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world, contaminated by poisonous plants?

Opus Magnum - 50% off (and a big new DLC just released)
Opus Magnum is an open-ended puzzle game from Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem, Infinifactory, TIS-100, and SHENZHEN I/O. Master the intricate, physical machinery of the transmutation engine— the alchemical engineer’s most advanced tool— and use it to create vital remedies, precious gemstones, deadly weapons, and more.

Megabonk - 30% off
Smash your way through endless waves of enemies and grow absurdly powerful! Grab loot, level up, unlock characters and upgrade to create unique and crazy builds as you fend off hordes of creatures!

Cleared Hot - 20% off
CLEARED HOT is a nostalgic helicopter shooter with satisfying physics and light tactical elements. Shoot, dodge, move your squad around the battlefield, and pick up almost anything with your rope and magnet.

What will you be picking up in the Steam Spring Sale 2026? Leave a comment with some great indie game suggestions.

The sale ends March 26th.

D.O.R.F. has been on my wishlist since June 2023, says here on my wishlist. Why must you make me suffer, Liam? Why must you dangle it in front of me like that?

I highly recommend Chained Echoes for anyone who hasn't played it yet. SO GOOD.

For me, out of this list specifically, Cassette Beasts looks like it might be a fun Deck game ...!

Outside of that, from my wishlist & browsing:
  • The Last Spell - turn based rpg - 90% off !!!

  • Black Geyser - crpg - 50% off

I'm trying not to overdo it lol. My backlog isn't even a backlog anymore, it's a backforest

Honestly, the only thing calling to me at the moment on my wishlist is Cozy Grove (Steam Play), mainly because it's 70% off and thus super cheap. Otherwise I might just give this sale a pass.
