Hand of Fate: Hordes (originally titled Hordes of Fate: A Hand of Fate Adventure) is now set to enter Early Access on July 22nd. Coming from developer Australian developer Spitfire Interactive who also made Capes, they're the creative crew behind the original Hand of Fate series.
Bringing together survivor-like bullet heaven auto-shooting gameplay with strategic deck-building, it's another in a genre that has become crowded that still manages to make things feel new and fresh. You get to change your run as you go through with different cards, weapons, blessings and modifiers across multiple different characters with different combat styles.

From the press release: "We’re incredibly excited to bring back the Hand of Fate series in this new form together with Spicy Koala. Hand of Fate: Hordes combines the intensity and satisfaction of survivor-style combat with the strategy, risk and card based gameplay that define the Hand of Fate series. Our goal is to push the bullet heaven genre in a more strategic direction, and we can’t wait to continue evolving the game together with our players throughout Early Access", said Cade Franklin, Creative Director at Spitfire Interactive.
Game Highlights:
Sword & Sorcery Bullet Heaven
Imprisoned within the Shadow Vaults with the banished Dealer, players must fight their way through relentless enemies and ever-changing dungeon runs to escape a netherworld beyond the 13th Gate.
Players can master four unique heroes: Trickster, Goblin, Warrior and Rebel, each featuring their own ranged, melee and magical combat styles. Every run offers new opportunities to experiment with devastating builds, synergistic abilities and powerful weapons.
Master the Deck to Master Your Destiny
At the core of Hand of Fate: Hordes lies its strategic deckbuilding system. Players shape every run by choosing cards that alter encounters, grant blessings, unlock weapons and introduce new risks and rewards. As decks expand, players gain access to new rarities, story encounters, treasure-filled events and modifiers that can dramatically change how each run unfolds. Every card matters. Every choice shapes your fate.
Endless Variety and Challenges
Hand of Fate: Hordes also introduces shuffle and dice-based minigames that reward players with powerful buffs and boons during runs. Tokens earned through gameplay unlock game-changing upgrades and long-term progression systems between attempts. Additional heroes, quests, dungeons, bosses and weapons will continue to be added
throughout Early Access.
