Check out what anti-cheat enabled games work on Linux / SteamOS on our dedicated anti-cheat compatibility page.

Tormentum II is a follow-up to the popular dark point and click adventure game from 2015, with an impressive set of artwork inspired by H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński.

Set in a future where computer games bring relief in a hopeless world devastated by technology (sounds a little familiar…). Touching on some interesting themes here where you lead the fate of a game creator whose ambition is to create what has never been achieved before - a world inhabited by characters with intelligence equal to that of a human being.

This one has been quite a long time coming, after being originally announced back in 2018. And a first playable demo is actually available now too ahead of the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

On the Steam forum the developer posted about Linux support:

I’ve never released anything on Linux before, and I don’t really know anyone who uses this system on a daily basis.

So, to be honest, I’m kind of feeling my way in the dark here. I’m not sure if everything integrates properly with Steam, if the game runs smoothly, or even what system requirements I should list for Linux. Should they be the same as for Windows? I honestly don’t know yet.

The demo of Tormentum II is already available on Steam, and I’d like to check whether it also works properly on Linux:

So if you are interested and want to see more Native Linux support - go give it a run and provide some feedback.
