Wild Blue Skies (originally called Wild Blue) is an on-rails shooter made in the spirit of the classic Star Fox and it arrives August 13th. I know a number of gamers who will be seriously excited by this one, we could do with some more good on-rails shooters!
The CEO of the developer Chuhai Labs, Giles Goddard, actually worked at Nintendo on the likes of Star Fox so it's not surprising to see them return to the classics like this.

In a message to players the developers said:
"Pilots, this is the one we've been waiting to say out loud.
This morning at the MIX Showcase, we announced that Wild Blue Skies launches August 13, 2026! One squadron, and a sky that needs heroes.
We've been heads-down at Chuhai Labs for a long time on this one. Wild Blue Skies started as our love letter to the on-rails shooters that defined our childhoods, the ones we still talk about decades later. We wanted to bring that feeling back, but built for today: tight modern controls, branching paths, titan-sized bosses, a mastery system for the score-chasers and speedrunners, and four pilots who can't stop bickering long enough to save the world.
And we genuinely couldn't have gotten here without you. Over 120,000 of you have wishlisted Wild Blue Skies so far. You played the demo, you sent us feedback, you shared trailers with friends. Every single one of those wishlists pushed us forward. From the whole, thank you. We can't wait to finally put the Blue Bombers in your hands on August 13th.
If you haven't wishlisted yet, now's the moment. It genuinely helps us, and you'll be first in line when launch day arrives. The release date trailer is live, go check it out.
Until then, stay close. We'll be sharing a lot more in the run-up to launch, including dev blogs, behind-the-scenes content, pilot spotlights, and four pilots ready to take down the evil Grimclaw!
See you in the skies, pilots.
— The Chuhai Labs Team"
