Welcome to a new issue of The Funding Crowd! It looks like the summer lull is definitely over, as tons of interesting and good-looking projects are knocking at our doors in search of our pledges.
Lazors & Asteroids is an open world SciFi game, now on Alphafunding on Desura!
The game has a chunk of open levels including large-scaled pre-set space battles and procedurally generated wars, along with a Free-Roam mode in which you have to collect items and attack cargo ships to upgrade your ship.
Welcome to The Funding Crowd, issue #36! Summer is still going on in the boreal hemisphere, but make no mistake: boreal has nothing to do with boring, so here we come to bring you the games which are most worthy of your hard-earned money!
The Funding Crowd welcomes you to a shorter, sharper and much anticipated TFC#34! It's shorter, because less stuff happened over the quieter June period. It's sharper, because we're not pulling any punches with this edition - we're calling it as we see it. And we're assuming it's much anticipated because the last edition was a whopping 29 days ago. At least! Nearly a month!
Greetings, fans of The Funding Crowd! We are back after our anniversary celebrations, with the usual load of crowdfunding news enough to quench your pledging desires.
Monochroma, a grim indie platformer (where have we heard that before?), has been released on Steam. The developer, Nowhere Studios, managed to fund the game last year on Kickstarter and Greenlit on Steam. It appears to be set in a dark industrial world with an orwellian vibe. Carried by plot sans dialogue and some great 2.5D visuals, this game definitely looks to have potential.
What's that? Oh just a Kaiju tearing down a skyscraper nothing to worry about. Today we have a tiny little exclusive teaser from Kerberos Production's newest game (the developers of Sword of the Stars & Ground Pounders).
Good news open source gaming fans, KeeperRL has officially hit 100% on indiegogo which will hopefully give the developer plenty of room to improve the project.
And here comes the last treat he had prepared for you to celebrate the first anniversary of The Funding Crowd. A full year worth of successes and stats that we have been regularly dosing in our columns, now in one whole go!
We showed you SUPERHOT back in September of last year. It's now back seeking funding on Kickstarter to bring out a full game and unsurprisingly it's already over-funded.
As we announced earlier today The Funding Crowd is back again, this time with our usual format. But don't think you're gonna get rid of us so easily... There still might be some surprises to come.
The Funding Crowd is celebrating its first birthday! As a present we are bringing you something new: an interview with Daniel Swiger, who at the moment is crowdfunding his project Chronicles of the Rift.
I wrote about Contested Space recently about how fun it looked. Sadly it's not got long left on Kickstarter and needs a bit of love. We do have a new video to show you too, complete with lasers pew pew.
