I assume I am not alone in seeing the hate that Early Access has been getting from some sources recently. Well, the latest game to stoke the fire has been set off by CodeAvarice, developers of Paranautical Activity, a game that we have featured previously that combines both FPS and Rougelike gameplay features.

Remember Just Tactics? The fantastic turn-based strategy game we gave keys away for some-time ago? Well Mark of the Old Ones is the next game from Hit the Sticks and is currently 46 hours away from winning or losing the Kickstarter game.

We have mentioned KeeperRL here a few times now for not only being an interesting game, but because it needs a big push on Indiegogo too.

Darkwood is a top-down, oldschool, sandbox survival horror set in a procedurally generated, open world. It was funding on Indiegogo nearly a year ago and it is built using Unity, sadly even with Unity it won't see day 1 Linux support.

KeeperRL is an open source dungeon simulator game inspired by Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress. It gets better all the time and this update is no different. It also needs a little push on its crowdfunding campaign to make it even better.

It's not often I see a trailer for a game especially on Kickstarter and just think "wow I really want to back this project". The Universim has done this to me.

We have to wait a little while longer to play Divinity: Original Sin folks as the developers have now confirmed Linux will see a release when it exits Early Access.

Exogenesis is hoping to win it big on Kickstarter. A PC adventure/visual novel hybrid inspired by Ace Attorney and Zero escape games set in post-apocalyptic Japan. It offers up a demo for you to try before you back it too.

Contested Space is one of the more interesting titles to appear recently, I've played around with it and it's actually pretty fun, especially fun is designing your own ships.

Heart Forth, Alicia is a beautifully crafted Metroidvania RPG on Kickstarter right now seeking funds. It has already hit well-over the initial goal and is sailing towards the Linux stretch goal, but why is it a stretch goal?

Brandon Must Die! is an action rogue-like now on Kickstarter inspired by The Binding of Isaac. Looks pretty good I must say!

Game Develop is a good bit of free kit for developers wanting to create games without programming or for things like prototyping. The have a Linux version currently, but they want funds to improve it.

Obduction is an adventure game that went through Kickstarter last year from the developers of the games Myst and Riven. They are now evaluating Linux support thanks to Unreal Engine.

Planets³ is a 3D open-world voxel-based RPG (first person view) on Kickstarter. It was over-funded, but sadly it didn't hit the Linux stretch goal. Thankfully the developers won't be excluding Linux gamers.

If you haven't heard of Outcast before then you are either young or living under a rock, possibly both! Outcast was a revolutionary open-world action-adventure game back in the day. Outcast Reboot HD is promising Linux support at a hefty stretch goal.

Remember KeeperRL? That odd mix of Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress that we posted about recently is now on indiegogo looking for funds to reach a glorious "1.0" version.

Tom Sparks and the Quakes of Ruin is a great looking 3D diesel-punk action-adventure game full of crazy weapons, exciting combat and exploration of mysterious underground worlds.

A mature, story-oriented adventure game with a unique style. Currently seeking funds on Kickstarter. They've just announced Linux support as standard, rather than as a stretch goal as originally planned.

Cult County is an all-new first-person survival horror game that blends the episodic story-telling of The Walking Dead with the classic tension-filled exploration and action of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, presenting an opportunity for fans to help a veteran team produce a new experience that is fresh, exciting, and scary!
