Interesting bit of news today, folks, as the teams behind the widely popular PlayOnLinux and PlayOnMac applications have announced their new service, PortMyApps.

Here is the latest instalment of Steam's Hardware Survey, as usual we do our monthly thing and compare it and talk about it and make sure you know not to use it as a hard figure.

It only took around 2 months to do it, but Linux has gained another 100+ games on Steam. We mentioned on the 5th of June that Linux had hit 500 games, and to see us climbing this fast is amazing.

So, it really does seem like Crytek were in financial trouble after all. Deep Silver has now purchased the rights to the Homefront franchise and setup a new studio to work on the game. We asked them about Linux support, and the answer wasn't clear.

A redditor emailed in to highlight a post they made on reddit after going to SDCC where they spoke to the developers of The Witcher. The developers confirmed to them a Linux version of The Witcher 3 exists.
