Quite a surprise turned up in my inbox recently. Spinnortality, a cyberpunk management sim that looks really good is releasing with Linux support next month.
Happy Room, a game you might not have heard of and you will be forgiven for that (I hadn't either) as it released in 2016. Turns out, they added a Linux version just after release so we completely missed it. A bit of a warning though, it's certainly not one to show a younger audience.
Eastshade certainly looks like a wonderfully peaceful experience and the new trailer show it off rather well, it's releasing soon too on February 13th.
Fruit Tower Defense from developer Fratboy Entertainment is a title you could easily skip over and disregard due to the style but it's actually quite good.
If you're in the mood for a story that's a little different, with a presentation that's rather unique then take a look at Critters for Sale.
Slime Research from developer Schism LLC is a bit of an odd one, now available in Early Access with Linux support.
This is a very curious one, Paradox Interactive have just announced that they've acquired Prison Architect from Introversion Software.
Have to hand it to the folks over at Jackbox Games, they're certainly putting in the effort here. They now officially support Linux with all their Party Pack games and more.
I often find it hard to hold in my excitement about certain games, Volcanoids is one of them as it looks completely awesome. A game with steampunk-like massive moving drills you build your base on, sign me up doc!
Tower Unite, a 'community-based virtual world party game' had a Linux version that was left in Beta since 2016 and eventually it broke. They've now removed it in favour of people using Valve's Steam Play.
After being sent a copy of Damsel from Screwtape Studios to our Steam Curator, I spent some time as Special Agent Damsel.
I have to admit, while watching the video for Spiralagon it did make me chuckle quite a bit. It's not a very serious game but it sure looks like fun.
Here's a game we completely missed that released back in 2017 - Runic Rampage. An action-RPG from developer Electrocosmos.
Last Epoch, a very promising Action RPG that was funded on Kickstarter already supports Linux, and my recent interactions with their team have been great.
For those who've always wanted to be a living member of a starship crew, PULSAR: Lost Colony is a reasonably good pick and it's nearing release.
For those who just can't get enough of building sims, your next fix is coming soon. Meeple Station is to enter Steam Early Access on January 17th.
Elteria Adventures is a tough game to describe. It seems like it's an open-world RPG MMO with world-building features and it's coming to Linux.
Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, the sequel to 2013's Anodyne is coming this year and it turns out the developer does plan to support Linux.
After releasing for Windows back in November, the casual single-player Apothecary sim just recently added a native Linux version.
Here's a curious one. Evolvation, a space combat sim from HyperReuts originally supported Linux last year and after going through a revamp Linux support was removed. It's coming back though, as the developer has confirmed.
