Page: 1/4

ysblokje 14 Dec 2015
Hi People,

I hope everybody enjoyed watching us smash & bash our benevolent Bossman last week! :)
During the session or the one after that it was suggested to setup a competition.
b]classes[/b]
For now I have decided on 3 classes all in the "C" category.

starting gridsize
11 drivers can attent. (thats just the startinggrid !)
I want to keep 1 slot open for the person who wants to stream the race(s).

Assist Restrictions
None.

Lobby Settings

Pre Race Timer: 30 secs
End Race Timer: 60 secs
Allow Upgrades: Off
Allow Tuning: Off
Allow Assists: On
Collisions: On
Impact ratings: Enabled
Force manual gears: Off
Force Interior cam: Off
Damage: Visual Only
Flashbacks: None

Race 'Weekend' Format
Racing days (see below)
5 week long season
3 races per class, Same track per class
If more then 11 drivers attend we split the field up into 2 By doing a "sprint" race. the top 50% will form field A and the rest field B.

First race will be a random grid order as there is no qualifying to race option.
Race 2 will be reverse order of Race 1 result. Race 3 will be reverse order of Race 2 result.

Race Classification
1st - 15 points
2nd - 12
3rd - 10
4th - 8
5th - 6
6th - 5
7th - 4
8th - 3
9th - 2
10th - 1

Fastest Lap = 1 pt

Wrapping up the season
In case we end up with people with the same amount of points, we do a 1v1 of 1v1v1 etc.

This is a great idea.. we can even make "teams" (there is a feature in the game actually to make your own team but it's not integrated that well I think)

I would also join. Problem: I don't have great internet in students house :( (mostly 50 kBps)
Weekends would be fine ;)
ysblokje 14 Dec 2015
I think it should be weekends anyway. We could have people in different timezones.

I'm in!
Due to current life-conditions I would be unable to stream the event but would definitely like to race against fellow GoL members. :P

I have no life, I'm in.
ysblokje 20 Dec 2015
Okay after TheBoss raised the issue about not being able to attend, I started thinking about it.

In some competitions they keep the X highest scores of all your attempts. We could do this too.
So for example we have 5 racing days (or whatever you wanna call them) planned and we only count the 3 highest scores you got. That way you can miss 2 days and still end up high.

As a consequence the less people show up, the bigger the chance that you get some good points.

Anybody got a problem with that ?
serjor 20 Dec 2015
May be http://challonge.com/ could be used. Never used before, so I'm not sure if it fits the needs of this competition, but it could help (or not)
rifazn 21 Dec 2015
Is it too late to join?
Are we using Steam to play?
If so, is there a way to play if I'm not on Steam?
