Title: Anyone else notice the huge increase in titles on Steam?
GustyGhost 27 Jan 2016
In only a day the count jumped from ~1816 to 1895. What's going on?

Still no way to sort search results by date added? Wouldn't show older games with new Linux ports though. Someone needs to get cracking on a steamdb crawler that searches for the words Linux and SteamOS in entries. Or something.

This jumb is not only for Linux. So it does not have anything to do with many games suddenly supporting Linux.

I do not know anything but my bets is that there is a change with region control policies.

Found the issue:

[Update: Some users reported that there might not be 1,912 games available for SteamOS and Linux, so after checking the Steam database on the web (with and without being logged in), and after verifying several different Steam accounts, we've arrived at the conclusion that there is an "issue" with the sorting order.

So, by default, Steam always shows the "Sort by" order after "Relevance." If you choose to sort the list by "Release Date" or "User Reviews," it will show 1,821 titles. The "Name," "Lowest Price," and "Higher Price" order-sorting filters will result in 1,912 titles. So there might be over 90 Linux games that don't have a release date on that list.](http://linux.softpedia.com/blog/steam-for-linux-has-just-passed-the-1-900-mark-for-linux-and-steamos-games-499596.shtml)
