Did you just revert to a backup of GoL database ?

Otherwise, something very weird is going on... my recent posts have disappeared!

Upon searching the forums, this isn't just affecting me... Here's a thread with 3 pages with 5 posts visible total...

That forum thread is weird. The paging might suggest the missing posts are still in the database but for some reason not actually visible.

seems to be user based I think I had a post in there, just tried posting a simple "test" post and that's not displayed either.

Maybe I'm in bad standing? ^^

There's a lot of posts missing though, not just yours. And wouldn't it affect your posts here as well?

EDIT: The thread shows in the Latest Forum Posts sidebar with the date 16 December 2016 at 10:24 am UTC. The last visible post is from four days ago.
