The AMD site reports that the Freesync works on Linux only on the DP but it is unclear if it is about the open driver or not or in general.
The monitor I'm choosing, Dell S2418H, has only the HDMI port and I would like to try the Freesync.
Ok, I know that is still not upstream but there is a way to already install it, I hoped someone have tried on Polaris and can say something.
Is the DP so important? Why? Because the monitor is just a FHD so maybe HDMI is ok for everything or do I miss something?
