Game runs really well probably better than Windows, i no longer have windows so cannot compare
Problems i had:
- Changing game resolution results in black screen
- Changing brightness in game has no effect

Installer can't seem to finish the .NET dependency download/install. Game does not launch as result.

.NET install is not supported in Proton and Wine, you can not install games that need it, it's known issues.

Payday: The Heist
works flawlessly for me. I even managed to play a multiplayer game (there were only 6 servers showing worldwide).
With the steam client running natively (correct me if I'm wrong here), the Steam Overlay and "alt tab" functionality seem to work. Well, the mouse didn't show up in the Overlay, but at least it didn't crash the game. It was certainly more than I could hope for in running Steam through WINE.
