Quoting: legluondunetA search engine more friendly way to search for info about your game and Steamplay compatibility:
http://proton.city/
The domain doesn't appear to have an A record.

It seems the proton site is closed now and replaced by this one:
https://spcr.netlify.com/
You can read than more than 1100 games are now completely stable and playable!

AFAIK this site is not a replacement, it's made by a different person even earlier than https://proton.city/ (which is working now again btw).

Since Steamplay out things are going too fast :D Hard to follow all this changes.

Games i have tried so far:

  • Wolfenstein: The New Order

Game runs really well probably better than Windows, i no longer have windows so cannot compare

Problems i had:
- Changing game resolution results in black screen
- Changing brightness in game has no effect

Video

  • Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Also runs really well.

Problems i had:
- Changing game resolution results in black screen
- Changing brightness in game has no effect

Video

  • RAGE

Also runs like native.

Problems i had:
- Changing game resolution results in black screen
- Changing brightness in game has no effect
- 64 bit mode has no sound and loads slower and performs worse

Tropico 4
Installer can't seem to finish the .NET dependency download/install. Game does not launch as result.

.NET install is not supported in Proton and Wine, you can not install games that need it, it's known issues.

If that is the case, how did the game end up on the whitelist?

Also...
Payday: The Heist
works flawlessly for me. I even managed to play a multiplayer game (there were only 6 servers showing worldwide).

With the steam client running natively (correct me if I'm wrong here), the Steam Overlay and "alt tab" functionality seem to work. Well, the mouse didn't show up in the Overlay, but at least it didn't crash the game. It was certainly more than I could hope for in running Steam through WINE.

Agreed. It lists Batman: Arkham City as working perfectly, but it won't even load for me.

That's what Winetricks is for! Maybe Valve will implement "Protontricks".
