Quoting: Sputnik_tr_02Unfortunately remastered version of BioShock 2 does not even work with Proton, stuck at "Press Space To Continue" screen.
Someone did report it working with Beta 5, might be worth another try?

A Firefox extension by the author of Proton.City which shows compatibility scores on Steam store pages:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/proton-city/

I haven't tried it though, my main web browser is Chromium.

I'm using Firefox & I just installed it & it's working, thanks for the link. :D

If you click on the score it takes you to the Proton city report for that game, very nice. :D

ps Proton City is going offline in favour of https://spcr.netlify.com/ so it's not going to work for much longer, hopefully someone can transfer it over as it's pretty neat feature.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoAnd even with that, the game crash after few minutes... that is weird, because I played it on windows 7 flawlessly with all graphic details at maximum...
When I was playing on Windows 7, it crashed very often, especially in DLC.

That is more weird... I played it on a machine with a corei5 4690K, 2x4GB DDR3 2400 CL11 and a GTX 970. and you?

Sadly it didn't work for me. Tried in virtual desktop, windowed, full screen, no luck. I don't have a gamepad so I don't know if it works that way.

Quoting: GuestWow, this Steam Play gets more impressive all the time. Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice works. Just click and play. Performance was a little slow but far exceeded anything I thought I would get. I don't even meet the minimum system requirements fully and it's still very playable on high. This is just mind blowing for me. I hope what I've read is correct and when you buy a game and use steam play on linux it counts as a linux sale.

Hellblade Video

after reading this and seeing that the game is on sale right now i just went ahead and bought it as well.

I'm having good performance on max details in 1080p with my i5 and r9 290 (avg 45-50 fps i would say) and after installing xact with winetricks i also have no issues left with sound (crackling, mixing etc)
so far i am very impressed.
sadly i'm lacking the time to really get into any games, but i guess next big steam sale will bring some further linux sales for windows-only titles. i guess now it's time to vote with our wallets? =)
Escape Dead Island WORKS PERFECT with a SOLID FRAME RATE!!

is there a way to install custom proton version other than compiling (I can't compile on opensuse) Sleeping dogs worked with proton 3.7-beta 4 but with other versions is broken. Is there a way to get a tarball of 3.7 beta4 and install it?
Koopacabras Sep 9, 2018
seems there is no way of reverting to previous beta, maybe I should start making a backup of the proton beta folder.

I was going to offer help, however I am out of my PC today. What is interesting, while looking for some advice for you, I've figured out on github, that Valve:
- haven't create releases for beta builds (while day used to have some sort of nightly builds)
- doesn't use tags for beta releases
- doesn't have any obvious indication that would tell which commit should be used to build Proton 3.7-beta 4.
To help you it is required to checkout repository. Maybe some other good person may help you and build this version of Proton for you.

P.S. while going briefly through commits, it looks like commit ee6a477 may be good for you.
