I had to keep re-editing, submitting, etc until I just deleted the first [ quote= ] block, saved and readded it. I'm guessing the WYSIWYG editor parses the bbcode differently to the final page though as that was fine?
In either case I prefer editing in source view and, actually, on that topic -- would it be possible to select a preferred view for editing / creating posts? And subsequently, if you want smilies on or not (I wouldn't mind which end you wanted to do this, I'd happily not have smilies on at all, but others can have them in my post)?
Also, when you edit a post, you loose the page your post is on.
I think maybe the quote embedding is a bit of a bug, but the others are just my personal preference feel free to do with what you will (if you want to add them to the new design, that is totally cool) -- and sorry for the multiple suggestions, they came to me as I was trying to describe the original issue!
Check the test website and try it out for yourself. Linky -> http://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/325
It will also send you to the correct page after commenting.
As for the others, remind me later, nice ideas!
