Title: Crowdfunding page suggestions

Quoting: wojtek88Personally I would expect from such a page to present some form of gradation.
It's not ok to treat the same way Larian Studios, who ported Divinity: Original Sin after year and a half and they abandoned Linux while releasing second game and Obisidian who released all of their games with day one support.
First step is to add enough, next step is to adjust features to note release delays and so on. It's a very early W.I.P.

Added, apart from Descent: Underground since it's undergoing a new release we are yet to see if they really will keep Linux support. Also Shadowrun: Dragonfall (Shadowrun Returns expansion) doesn't count, we already have Returns listed and Dragonfall itself was not crowdfunded. Also The Journey Down: Chapter Three is included in a bundle of 1-3 since they were all under the same crowdfunder.

Individual projects only?
What if I add more goals on Patreon to provide the illusion a ransom model is being used?

We're tracking games that were specifically funded against a goal, not an ongoing funding model like Patreon to cover multiple random projects. It's not in the scope of what we're doing here.

I would propose to add a distinction between "Failed (with refund)" and "Failed (without any refund)" projects... a failed but refunded project is not that bad. :)

Did you find the secret link to my todo list? ;)
Liam Dawe 10 Jan 2019
I've actually added a link to this page in the Sections dropdown on the navbar :)

Do you think there would be merit in another option, especially one that encourages readers to voice their support of Linux? This could be useful if a game is "up in the air" or "leaning the wrong way" for one reason or another, yet hasn't finalized/launched.

For instance, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a particularly high profile title that just recently announced they were going back on their promise to support Mac and Linux. The list notes it as "Failed", but especially given the game is yet to release, there is considerable outcry for the decision etc... perhaps it would be helpful for all interested to express disappointment at this change and urge them to deliver as promised? Having an alternative label for titles that are in need of community help in this regard could be part of a "rallying cry" to help direct readers interested in doing so.

Perhaps the site could also have other features to support this sort of action such as a "sticky" / high visibility link to an article explaining the situation for a given game that needs community attention in some way, but perhaps other status labels in this Crowdfunding Tracker could be a good place to start?

I'm struggling to find actual details about how their campaign worked, got any good links?

I don't think that would really help anything, your example with Bloodstained especially as they quite clearly don't give a toss.

The remnants of the crowd funding campaign are still online at [http://www.wmdportal.com/](http://www.wmdportal.com/), but the purchase option is gone of course. They may be something more in the web archive.

Sorry for the late reply, I added it in.

Please do keep them coming, it's probably out of date once again.

Just had a look through the list, and there are a few titles that I haven't given up on, as yet. I'll clarify what I mean:

If the developer has said "Sorry Linux people, but we can't do a Linux release after all" - That is "Failed" for me.

If the developer has said "Sorry for the delay. We don't know how long it will be, but we hope to still release to Linux eventually" - That is "Failed (but might still appear)" for me.

I'd like to be able to differentiate between these two cases.

Now listing if something is a stretch goal. Do let me know if you spot any on the list that need changing.

Yeah, that's an idea I want to do. Have one that's listed but not counted for either.

Edit: We can now list titles not finished, they will show up as in development and not count towards the total.
