SSL_CERT_DIR="/etc/ssl/certs" %command%In principle this solution should work for other distributions that share the same path as the ssl certificates. For those that do not the solution is to add the corresponding path to the ssl certificates.

What about symlinking the dir to make it a systemwide solution?
