Title: Native Linux games sold from publisher/devs websites

Does anyone know where they sell Native linux games sold from the publisher/devs website?

I don't know if they still do but you can try [Soldak](http://www.soldak.com/) for a few RPG titles.

There's also:

[Starsector](https://fractalsoftworks.com/) which is a lot like Escape Velocity/Endless Sky crossed with Mount & Blade. Very much a hidden gem not on Steam, itch, or GoG!

[Vintage Story](https://www.vintagestory.at/) Which is a very in-depth Lovecraft inspired alternative to Minecraft.

[Hanako Games](https://www.hanakogames.com/) Sells mostly RPGs and Visual Novels with a managerial element. I've been hooked on their games since Cute Knight! AFAIK all their titles are available for Linux, but the Cute Knight games aren't on Steam, just itch and their website via bmtmicro (scroll down on a game's page) if you don't like itch.

[Rimworld](https://rimworldgame.com/) is available DRM free from their website and GoG. Fair warning: the website version delivers via Sendowl, so don't lose that link! Easily one of my favorites, and it runs well on anything made in the last decade.

and a few more, but my hand's worn out I'll post a couple more later

Do native games for Linux exist? I know there are Windows emulators for Linux, but no native games to my knowledge.

That is hilarious. I just went into my Linux distribution software manager and counted 422 individual titles available to install within the OS, without even considering external sources.

Something to get started on:

apt install wesnoth endless-sky openttd 0ad supertuxkart nexuiz armagetronad chromium-bsu opentyrian flightgear freeciv minetest widelands frozen-bubble

Also relating to the above: [Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead](https://cataclysmdda.org/) and [Dwarf Fortress](http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=e45e9a50259728de753662e1b16d3093&topic=157712.0)

TOME is a good one. Although it's free:

I preferred it over DCSS, but both are very good.

Thanks for the suggestions. If anyone else wants to suggest, that would appreciated.

The Linux build of Putty Squad used to be available from the deliver2.com website, but I don't know if that's still the case.
