How to install Hollow Knight: Silksong mods on Linux, SteamOS and Steam Deck
I *would* use SimpleScreenRecorder as it works perfectly. However, I cant record my microphone and speakers at the same time using it. (I use a USB headset) Thanks!
Here's a video showing how I record gaming videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSg8IMkrLPo
Alternatively you could use OBS as your recording software, but it's a bit alpha at the moment, so you can expect some crashes etc.
Thanks! I'll report back later. I was thinking of this too actually, but Audacity didn't seem to recognize my shortcut key when not focusing on the window.

for steam games theres fps counter in the steam settings, which you can enable.
you can also add a non-steam game into steam and use it. this is probably the simplest solution.
