Nope, all we have is the announcement. Very doubtful for such an old title though, doubt it would be worth it.

You're correct, yep. These games use OpenGL.

Regarding cross-platform multiplayer, we're working on a Linux vs Mac patch for y'all. We'll shout when that's released.

Thanks for this.

One question. Will it one day be possible to play multiplayer with Windows users ? or is that not technically possible ?

Linux vs Windows multiplayer for SHOGUN 2 isn't technically possible. If it ever is, you can bet we'll be all over it. :)

Oh look, yet another Metroidvania game that will release before Chasm even gets to beta...
Still working through Hollow Knight but I know that the game only has about 10-15 hours left of gameplay. Hopefully, there will be a new Metroid out on Switch soon.

Yeah. I love the idea of RTS games, but I'm rather terrible at them, so they're not much fun to play. Turn-based strategy is more my thing.
Have you tried any of the Paradox ones ? The allow you to slow down time or pause outright.
Oh, I love the Paradox games. I own four of them - Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis 4, Hearts of Iron 4, and Stellaris - but they play more like a turn-based strategy game even though events happen in real-time.

Having a few Total War games doesn't suddenly remove all the other fantastic games we do have you know? Even just going by Feral, we're talking four games out of how many they ported now? Like it or not, they obviously sell well or they wouldn't keep porting them.

Also, why don't indies count exactly? There's masses of truly fantastic indie games on our platform.

It's ironic that we still don't have Total War Rome 2, which was the only Total War game officially announced during the Steam OS launch.

Total Warhammer is enough Total War for me. I really don't want another Total War game.

WiiU has sold ~14 Million Units and at the moment we have currently only ~2 Million Linux Players on Steam.

Puts things into perspective, doesn't it? :(

Having one of the best total war on linux, if not the best(with fall of samurai) is not a problem, I don't see why people complaining.

btw: The studio working on quake champions is called saber interactive, any chance feral interactive could contact this other studio for some feline party?^^

well, nice for people liking Total war series.

But too many Total war isn't too much Feral?
Is it because when you ported one Total war, they use the same engine and it makes it easy to port all other Total war?

I finished MadMax after ~60h last week (verdict: largely under Shadow of Mordor). I moved yesterday on Alien. Need another game for next month ^^ but not a total war. Even if I bought you Warhammer, Medieval II and Empire, I never succeeded to get addicted, probably because I can't catch all the game mechanisms.
I will try Long War on Xcom2 and hope for a hidden gem coming from elsewhere.

I would buy it, depending on my funds at the time.

These days, I can't promise anything.

Quoting: EhvisThat means you're basically ignoring the requests thread and you make up your own mind about the market potential and weigh it against the investment needed. Which does sound perfectly reasonable to me.

No. There used to be a rule at magazines and newspapers, like one letter written to us probably stands for X people thinking the same but not writing. Of course, this must be adapted to modern ways of communicating, but something like this still applies: Very few people adding to the thread, probably not this much interest, more people writing, more interest. And all this must be compared to the size of the project: 100 people asking for Fallout 4 on Linux, not so much, 100 people asking for an indie project, hey, that's cool. So, you still must weigh the input, put it doesn't render the input worthless.

Steam Controller & Steam Link on sale for a few days, the Link is especially cheap

Quoting: inlinuxdudeAnyone know if the Link has been hacked to run standard Linux or Android? I could use another cheap Kodi box...

Well, I just had to go and Google it... It looks like Kodi is recently running natively with a few bugs/quirks. http://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/1/451850849186712370/?ctp=13
Why go through all that trouble when you can get a Raspberry Pi for dirt cheap?

Commodity hardware is frequently cheaper at a price point for comparable hardware (especially on sale). However, after finally finding the specs on the Link, it didn't look that impressive, so for the trouble, not worth it for me.

I tried Wurm Unlimited and it was a painful experience

I didn't have to read further than this. Off the wishlist it goes.

By drmoth, 15 May 2017 at 11:52 am UTC

Dead Island Definitive Edition is loads of fun. I know Dying Light is better, but don't overlook Dead Island either, it's a blast (the ending sucks but most FPS games are plagued with terrible endings)

After all the times a Linux port has been put on hold until "sometime after" a Windows/Xbone/PS4 port comes out, it made me smile to read we were waiting on a WiiU port.

Quoting: EhvisThe highest number of replies I've seen to such threads is about 200. Most are a few dozen. From a business point of view, about as unimpressive as it gets.

Of course, they need to take into account that only a small portion of people who would buy it are actually posting in (or even now of) such a thread.

That means you're basically ignoring the requests thread and you make up your own mind about the market potential and weigh it against the investment needed. Which does sound perfectly reasonable to me.

Excellent! I've been waiting to buy Fall of the Samurai since giving Windows the boot. Shogun 2 is one of the Total War highlights for sure, and a very welcome addition to the Linux collection. Thank you Feral Interactive!
