Bobby - Wage War on the Green Balls

Just so people know, USC's minimum price is still 2.99 USD, so that's what this game will cost there when (if?) they accept it.

If You Build It, They Will Come.....(Ignite for Linux)

It looks very cool. I have to be honest though and say the no car game since the original need for speed hot pursuit many many moons ago (where you could add mod build, like the batmobile or the dukes of hazard car) really captured me, often its to realistic while I just am a crap driver and love to slide totally unrealisticly around a track :) That said hope there is a demo to get a feel for the game.

Quoting: "Anonymous, post: 2268"Why? This is great solution for producers.

As i for one like to keep options open, even though i am a Ubuntu user i don't want to be locked down to Ubuntu so until USC is on other platforms i won't myself buy from it, but i won't steer people away from it either.

I just prefer Desura or Gameolith, buy once, multiple platforms, much more value for money to me.

Quoting: "liamdawe, post: 2265"I still think buying from USC is a bad idea, being locked to a platform is not good. Still waiting on Desura.

It is nice to hear a Ubuntu user saying that. Still, checking on their blog, there seems to have been a Desura Linux post we missed:

They have improved their website a bit since I last saw it. And they have finally got some coverage on some none Linux *cough* *phoronix* *cough* or Russian gamer websites.

Granted, it is Rock, Paper, Shotgun so it is not hard to get mentioned there, but still a step in the right direction. :)

This works fine for the Desura version as well by the way! Although you have to go into windows to download the client and get the key. Desura for Linux can't come soon enough.

Probably, although we want to give the forums an overhaul first, adding more community features.

No problem mate, a quick question for you - are you going to be adding forums for the other games? Seems odd having only 2 game forums, should have all or none.

Thanks for the replies!

@MyGameCompany: We're preparing a new partner site that should address all your concerns - the royalty split and the agreement will be available for everyone to see. In the meantime, you can read all about it at http://gme.li/qAQ3pF. We've put our e-mail address in a couple of places, but it could be easier to find - anyway, it's [email protected].

@KIAaze: Thanks for the feedback! In particular, we're going to look at changing the way we put that partner signup form on the page. It's certainly no good if it's triggering clickjacking alerts, considering it's meant to be just an embedded iframe.

Anyway, thank you Liam for the great article!

I find the partner link through "Community->Developers->Become a partner/Interested? Apply to be a Gameolith Partner now". But yes, it could be better. And the "developers" link could be on the main page directly.

Quote2) An e-mail address. You really need to provide a way for interested developers to contact you if they have questions. If you don't want to post an e-mail address publicly, then at least provide a contact form.

They have a contact form if you click on "Support" at the bottom of the page and then "Contact us".

Security wise, I found 2 things that bothered me:
-No SSL everywhere yet (but they are working on it)
-I get a clickjacking alert with noscript when trying to fill out the partner form! From what I understand it's because they somehow embed a google spreadsheet form into the website. I usually allow scripts quite quickly on websites to get them to work correctly, but I'm always alarmed whenever I get cross-site scripting or clickjacking warnings from noscript.

I haven't bought anything from gameolith yet (having just bought the HIB3 recently), but I'm looking forward to it. :)
