But now thanks projects like VKDX, wine must be begin transition to vulkan because runs in all os with all driver type: closed and open source
Will be more interesting vulkan

Quoting: KimyrielleGreat that it's out now.Very good point, for example polish another things case software vertex shaders needed for some old titles)
I am looking forward to see continued improvements to DX11.
I really hope they will concentrate on getting DX11 right, and not open another front with DX12.
Who needs DX12 at this point anyway? Barely any game is using it, and from what I have heard it may become a fairly big flop.
Developers seem to be reluctant to even want to use low-level graphics APIs and rather stick to DX11, which is deemed "good enough".

Wayland runs all games runs in X and have support of games developers ?
However as your said them needs seriously create new gpu arquitecture (or improve in many ways your actual arquitecture)
Nvidia in consume is much better (one reason buyed GTX 1050) without forget games compatibility (much better in nvidia) and support from games devs
^_^

Quoting: LeopardX will be with us for a long time , i'm sure.Yeah for wayland most big obstacle is games quantity inertia directly represented in this simple question:
Reasons : Nvidia ( because of majority )
Not mature
Current games needs a mid-solution , Xwayland
Wayland runs all games runs in X and have support of games developers ?
Quoting: LeopardFor achieving that ; AMD needs better watt per performance which i don't think it will happen any time in five years.RTG stay in serious reconstruction after raja leaves
Nvidia has a massive R&D budget for gpu's while AMD hasn't. They simply lagging one generation behind on watt-performance.

This is a one reason because make large tests, because in large tests can see stability, mouse, keyboard and other issues
This wine version is big in stability, csmt (vanilla csmt is definitive implementation, staging implementation is different in various things) and others

Quoting: Avehicle7887How in the hell you can play longer than 1 hour without crashing.Yeah very impressive, in before times wine shows more instability
Every time I load Race Driver in Wine, it always runs out of virtual memory and crashes during the first race.
I will try it again with 3.0 and hope this issue is resolved. GRID 1 is one of my fav racing games.

Quoting: GuestEasy because wayland and xwayland dont supported for most gamesQuoting: ShmerlKDE devs don't care about nvidia and nvidia doesn't care about xwayland so, no wayland for the majority: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/users/statisticsFor the next development cycle, we can look forward to things like Direct3D 12 and Vulkan support, OpenGL ES support to enable Direct3D on Android and plenty more.Wayland support would be very welcome too. It's time to start switching to in KDE.

Quoting: nadrolinuxThanks for information.Yeah enhanced edition is DX11 and 64bit but last time try this game dont run
I tried to play Risen 3 Enhanced Edition, thats why I choosed 64 bit wineprefix.
It looks like a standard version of Risen 3 works good, however EE not.
However for this title type (DX11 - 64bit) staging is highly recommended

I can test risen 3 with wine 3.0-rc6 and still works
Respect prefix my main prefix is 32bit only (I use risen 3 standard DX9), i have another for 64bit apps but this game is 32bit (enhanced edition is different)
^_^

Quoting: nadrolinuxGlad to hear that info :) Do you use 32 or 64 bit wineprefix?Hi
Did you installed additional libraries like d3dx9 etc?
Yes, my hardware and software differ a lot.
I have Radeon RX580 (mesa-git) and Ubuntu 17.10, however I think that a problem is related to wine configuration.
I use 64 bit wineprefix without additional libraries.
