Fun fact: tm application for "steam deck" was filed on 14.07.2021, just a day or two before opening preorders. So maybe we'll see some announcement about neon prime soon?

TBH sounds more like a game than anything else (hardware, service etc.), but it's a weird name overall. Very hard to think of anything. There is certain other company with a service named *Prime but it doesn't fit any of Valve's potential products. Maybe it's just a codename, but then why file for a tm?
Actually at first I thought of a cloud platform, but "downloadable games" didn't fit, so I drifted in another direction. But sure enough, there's yet another application for the same name: https://uspto.report/TM/97625459 [External Link] with a broader set of categories, including "providing online video games; provision of on-line entertainment, namely, on-line computer games; providing on-line computer games and on-line video games; electronic games services provided by means of the Internet; providing information in the fields of computer games and entertainment via the Internet; organization of competitions relating to video games, video game education, and video game entertainment; providing information in the field of on-line computer games and on-line video games and computer games." which would actually fit very well!

No more Steam Deck reservation queue — buy it now, plus Docking Station available

Quoting: peta77Why did they add a PSU with the dock? Especially if it's the same that comes with the deck? Should be an option. I don't need another one just lying around with no use at all. Would also make it cheaper because a hundred euro is really a lot for that thing...Yeah, I'd definitely prefer a charger-less dock for 20-30 euro less. I'll hold off buying just in case they introduce such a version in the coming months.

I thought I needed a dock, but at €99 I'm not so sure...
Eh, I'll probably still get it, but have to digest it a bit first.

Despite closing the store, the free trials still work, just checked it: https://stadia.google.com/store/list/47 [External Link]
So those of you who never tried Stadia but have a google account and chrome - you can go and see what we're about to lose. You don't have to like it, but it's still good to know.

Anyway, all hope in Valve for the long term, as usual.

Quoting: AsciiWolfConsidering how crappy GeForce NOW is, this is really bad news. Looking forward to Amazon Luna, but I don't have any higher hopes anymore...Yeah, Stadia's tech was far superior to GFN. Problably because Linux vs Windows, hehe

I played it during a free week but didn't manage to finish.
I wonder if they will refund purchases made between today and the shutdown date.
[edit] ok, so the store is now closed. Quite obvious really, as people would 100% exploit it if the above was the case.

Quoting: elmapulso what happens to exclusives like guilty? You mean Gylt, right? I guess it's better to complete it while it still works, just in case.
