Rocket League's new Item Shop and Blueprints get a price reduction
12 Dec 2019 at 4:52 pm UTC

Quoting: TheSHEEEPStep 1: Come up with completely ridiculous prices. This does not happen on accident, no matter what anyone tries to tell you. They knew 100% what they were doing.

Step 2: Get shitstorm.

Step 3: Reduce the prices a little bit, pretending that you "listened to feedback". Make no mistake, this was planned from before step 1.
Agreed but with one amendment: they were just probing what prices they can get away with and apparently the sales at the high prices were too low, so they're rolled out some cuts to see what happens. I don't think they would give much thought about the complaining if the money checked out.

Quoting: KimyrielleSo if my daughter is playing any Steam game, I can't use my entire library as long as she's playing.
But if she's playing for too long, you can just run any game from your account and she will have 5 minutes to wrap it up before the game is killed.

I kinda wish someone tried to invalidate this trademark, it might actually work. I've had a direct competitor register a TM similar to my business name and sue me for his TM infringement. He sorely lost, with the panel mentioning in the sentence that such a trademark should not have been granted in the first place as it was too generic. And yet it has. Go figure.

Quoting: ageresYou jump, press forward and jump again in mid-air, and Gordon dashes.
Wow, that's... unexpected. :woot: Well I guess I'll see for myself, as I've been waiting for the game to be complete before I start playing, even though I've bought it years ago.

The big Rocket League update that kicked out loot boxes is now live
4 Dec 2019 at 11:47 pm UTC

Quoting: ExpalphalogI'm pretty sick of having hundreds of items in my inventory and nearly all of them not allowed to be traded in. Not to mention the odd decal or two that are listed as "very rare" but for some reason can't be combined with any of the other "very rare" things to be traded in.
Wait, you can trade-in unused items? For credits, or...? How does that work?

Valve are making the Index VR kit available in more countries

Quoting: vskye$999.00 is a really hard price to justify, even if I could afford it.
It's not essential. It's a niche gadget. The price will more than halve if vr goes mainstream.
