The 'Linux Steam Integration' project has a fresh minor release out

Does it work on SteamOS? I wonder if it would help with Move or Die, which has been broken for a year or so, while working fine on arch.

Personally I'm most excited about the reworked steam client. I hope it means plenty more filters and sorting options.

Nah, they're an independent company based in the fatherland of Linux, a.k.a. Suomi.

Quoting: ProfessorKaos64That's my ticket, die hard SteamOS fella. Kind of annoying you need a workaround for a simple tick box in the UI that I probably would add if I had the code. Proton does work very well in SteamOS.
Sorry for hijacking, but is there a good way to install the current version of Minecraft on SteamOS? The one with the new launcher? I used to be able to install the old one without much fuss (also using your installer from SteamOS-Tools) but I gave up on the new one. But the kid still pesters me about it.

Fruit Tower Defense might not look like much but it's surprisingly good

Did you manage to unlock any achievements? They didn't work for me, but maybe they're fixed it?

How to enable Steam Play (Proton) directly in SteamOS

Quoting: miroBut there is an issue with step one (STEP ONE: Enable SteamOS Beta Updates) which has a side effect: I can not run Rise of the Tomb Raider any more after doing this, the game does not recognize a Vulcan-capable setup after doing this.

My hardware and software there is GTX 950 and 396.54 as given from the beta repos. The guys at Feral did not know about any solution either :/
That's weird, I've just finished RotTR 17.10.2018 and I was on beta since 22.08.2018 [External Link], and it worked great. I have gtx 970, so not that different, either. May it be some problem with your vulkan install? Maybe something like this [External Link]?

That wouldn't be a bad thing. If you're happy with the value you got from the game's purchase, fine, just ignore the DLC. If you loved the game and would welcome more features and expansion, this is great news.

Unless you wanted all those extras for free...? In which case, I have no words! :)
I have absolutely nothing against dlc that add content, I often buy gotys and extras and stuff. What I do have something against is constantly modifying the game, sometimes breaking it (not literally, but mechanics) for those who don't own the dlc, and pushing lots of meaningless dlcs like costumes or melodies or even pdfs - all of which Paradox is "guilty" with their own titles. I hold a personal grudge because I bought lots of EU4 and CK2 dlcs in hope that I will sometimes be able to play a complete game, but it doesn't seem to be any time soon. At one point I just stopped buying. At about the same time, their new dlcs started getting mostly negative reviews for being low-effort while high-priced. It seems to me that it's not just my sentiment that they pushed their dlc model too far.

The devs of Tower Unite remove the broken Linux beta in favour of Steam Play, mentioning Unreal Engine issues

This sort of confirms my previous suspicions about Epic and Unreal. I thought that they neglected Linux support in Unreal Engine as soon as they came up with the idea of competing with Steam Store. Their reasoning being probably: by supporting Linux, we make it easier for Valve to launch the new iteration of Steam Machines, which would make it harder for us to compete, so let's silently abandon it. Same with Fortnite, releasing it for Linux would make it easily installable on Steam Machines.
