Quoting: TangoBakerNvidia card here but I was able to get it to work by going into ~/.steam/steam/config/steamvr.vrsettings and setting "disableAsync" : true, under the "steam.app.858260" section.

Also, running the black screen fix beta and using proton experimental branch.
Indeed, that did the trick !

It is not working here, I have a black screen on startup. It tried with the regular Proton version and with the experimental one. Also tried the black screen fix beta branch with no chance.

I have an AMD card.

The game works great here, with Mesa 21.1.6. But sometimes my PC crash, maybe because of Mesa, maybe because 5700XT cards randomly crash for an obscure reason...

And what if SteamPal is actually a portable VR headset with the possibility to play "traditional" games in "cinema" mode ?

Hints appear of Valve making a handheld Steam "SteamPal" Neptune console

I see it that way : one console to rule them all.

A Steam machine you can order with options like a VR headset or a Switch like console. The Switch like would be able to stream games from the Steam machine.

So you can play like it's a PC, a sofa console, or a portable one. And it is a plug n play VR pack too.

Why everyone is talking about Pop!_OS ? What is so cool about it compared to others like Ubuntu or Manjaro for example ?
