Here's how to play Overwatch 2 on Steam Deck / Linux

Reminds me when I was trying to move over to Linux. I was big in to Heroes of the Storm at the time, and it was unplayable due to the shader caching. The game always seemed to stutter at the worst time possible; in the middle of some critical 5v5 melee where one person used an ultimate ability that I hadn't faced when playing bots.

It hasn't happened yet, but the idea that some big multiplayer games like Apex Legends and Destiny 2 are working on support is huge. I don't even really like those games or the service model, but I can see how important they are!

The text is upside down compared to the normal SteamDeck orientation.

Maybe it's a protective shell with screw on analogue stick covers, so you can take it with you without the hard case.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 launches today aimed at high-refresh rates and 1080p

I have an R9 270x which I've been looking to replace for years due to problems with Vulkan support in Linux. Doesn't look like I'll be buying anything soon.

Around five years ago, I bought an RX480 for my partner's PC. Between available products and the horrific GPU pricing these days, I'll never see that price to performance ever again.

I was holding out hope that RDNA2 APUs would bridge the low-end gap, but I doubt AMD will get anywhere close if it risks eating in to their "low-end" GPU market.

I quite like the new name. The OS has always been a bit of a hybrid, so it makes sense.

Based on the "Create new website for ChimeraOS" task in the Github project (https://github.com/orgs/gamer-os/projects/1) and that a subreddit has been created I'm surmising that GamerOS will shortly be changed to ChimeraOS.

Quoting: DMG
Steam Buddy:
After installing any app, you must restart Steam for the newly installed application or game to appear in the Steam Big Picture UI.
So basicly, I can install Steam Buddy on my Linux Mint, and all not steam games (installed by Steam Buddy), will be available for me in Steam? Or I totally misunderstand, how this works?
Steam Buddy is a website which runs on the GamerOS computer.

For example: I have an old Steam Machine connected to the TV which runs GamerOS. I can connect to the SteamBuddy website to upload Flatpaks, ISOs etc from a laptop. For those items to appear in Steam on the GamerOS computer you need to restart Steam (either from Steam Buddy from the GamerOS comptuer itself) for them to appear.in the Steam Big Picture UI.

Hope that helps.

I've been using it for a few months, I agree it could do with a rename. GamerOS is a bit cringe.
