Aspyr's Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remaster Is Real And It's Out, We Have Keys For You [Key hunt is over]
29 Jan 2015 at 11:55 am UTC

I have probably supressed almost all my memory of any horror-like events.

Oh, apart from Metro 2033 - I was too scared to continue alone when the other NPC was like "I'll wait at the town gates while you go venture into the tunnels" and haven't played it since xD

As for less jumpy scary and more mind-scary - Gemini Rue was a great game for that!

Unfortunately if I get the game, I'd probably not play it since I'm such a coward - so I'll probably gift it instead xD

Aspyr Media Are Close To Breaking Even On Linux Ports
20 Jan 2015 at 12:29 pm UTC

These guys are so cool I even went close to my budget buying a game from their website. =)
They're my biggest gaming purchase in the past year excluding Star Citizen - because that's crowdfunding and also it's very likely gonna be my favourite game of all time.

It's great hearing they're breaking even and will be profitable now (I'm guessing). And great to know I contributed =P
Also, great comment Segata. :D

GOL GOTY Awards Are Over, Here's The Top 10 From Each Section
15 Jan 2015 at 2:27 am UTC Likes: 1

As I commented on previous articles relating to this vote,
I recommended doing a 2 stage vote, 1st with a massive list of games,
and then a 2nd "Finals" session with the top X (10?) games being voted on again to become the top Y (3?) games, and most importantly, get the #1 game.
Pretty sure Segata agreed.

Also, how other websites do it is to limit the nominations (perhaps released in the current year) and group into more categories.
While this might be good, I don't think we should limit nominations, just have more categories for prizes (so not just GOTY (best overall), perhaps include best animation, best story, best graphics, etc.)

For more user-friendly (i.e. GUI) disk management utility tool, install (I use Kubuntu):
$sudo apt-get install gnome-disk-utility
and run it (it should also appear in your application menu as "Disks"):
$gnome-disks &

You can check the health of the drives by clicking the cog icon in the top right and clicking "SMART Data & Self-Tests"
You can also check the partitions, file systems, etc. and do some light-weight formating. (Although I recommend gparted for heavy-weight stuff).

AirMech, A Free 2 Play MOBA Looking For Linux Testing

I'm not into MOBAs, (even though I grudgingly play Dota2 and lol once).
Just came here to say the art looks like SC2. But when I look at the video it looks more like C&C and the action seems like real action-action - point and shoot etc. Which appeals to me more than the current MOBAs. argh.
