Not sure if I agree with removing the analog pad, since I haven't used it, but I guess it's an alternative for people who REQUIRE not using touch pad on left thumb.

Quoting: jarfilMy bet:I concur, I reckon it's just texturing on the touchpad to let u easily find the D-pad section =)
Those are grooves or ridges in the rubber of the left pad where the horizontal/vertical dead zone is, so you can easily move your finger in either a horizontal or vertical direction without affecting the other one. The right pad will probably still have the concentric ring ridges to help you locate center and border, but the left one will have a cross instead of a circle.

Some games have options, if nvidia implemented it, then it'd happen across all games =)

Quoting: stssNow we just need something to be able to forcefully limit fps in Linux, like windows users can do with nvidia-inspectorHaha, yeah, my FPS went to 1946 and 400 in intro of Interstellar Marines ... then it went to a more reasonable 46 =P

I still crash on firing the pistol in the tutorial at the start. After firing the assault rifle and shotgun tho, the pistol doesn't crash me.
Needless to say, I am not happy I have to keep dumping this game to wait for it to be bug-free when I sunk money into it.
That said, I finally was able to go through the tutorial in one go without crashing! =)

Great post about failed projects and what we can learn from them! =)
"vain" - typo, should be "vein"?
While there is always risk in crowdfunding, it is quite annoying and disappointing to have a project flop on you when you place your trust in the people executing them.

glxosd shows temperatures as well though - but that's not too important with my good temperature managed machine atm.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroThis is pretty useful stuff.Yeah, just make sure we don't unintentionally double up on some Phoronix benchmarks. =P
Would be cool if we could do a bit of benchmarking on GOL now and again as well. Like the unigene valley benchmark exists on Linux. Would be interesting to see differences between driver versions and the like on Linux.

I think you need a 'finals' showdown - take the top 10 games after a time period (30 days?) then do another vote on the top 10 games ... otherwise the votes get way too diluted - with so many games! xD

for authenticity, they could just sign and checksum their files like everyone else?
It seems as if in trying to make a turn-key install process they made it more complicated and harder to install for people who know what they're doing. Not a good sign.
And definitely a breaker for some Linux WINE runners.
