I've seen this movie before, so many times. This is a big NOPE. No more promises. No tux, no bucks. Once the tux is there, AND the game is worth it I will spend my money.

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionGreat to see this join Allied Assault and Tripwire's entries into the WWII genre! I'm guessing you don't need Insurgency installed in order to play?
You need Insurgency to play the mod. But this a standalone independent version, based on the mod, but with more features and stuff like, flamethrower, new maps and game modes.

Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition now officially support Linux & SteamOS

It has some quirks. The audio never works out of the box, I always have to run pulseaudio -k, and alt+tab back to the game screen. The overlay screen makes the game crashes when I click on settings (probably other links as well). Nevertheless, my initial walk through was a, almost, "bug free" experience. I'm curious about the coop, but I've no plans to buy the "DI" remastered because I finished it already (with lots of coop issues), and none of my friends have DI: Riptide definitive edition.
