Just how scary is it? It looks kind of like Bioshock level scary (the original, first one), and if so that's within my limits. But if it's really really scary there's no point in me buying it.

This should be fun. In the worst case scenario (for me) I will have the opportunity to actually test a gifting system! :)

Sounds correct under the circumstance that you have so much against Steam. I'm a bit worried that I in reality will have very little to choose from, since I don't want several sources/accounts for my games. To have all games on one distribution platform have such huge advantages - similar to the package repo for a distro.
But at least the Feral store do sell keys, so there's that. :)

Yeah that sounds about right. It's in that price area here in Norway too, now.

Have you checked the second hand market? Here in Norway the Vive sets are really starting to get down to a fairly OK level now. The required upgrade of the PC will be far more expensive than the VR kit itself.

Almost anything open world based, yes. Preferably with a futuristic theme but heck I'll take anything I can dive into and LIVE. As long as it has a single player campaign and not just mp sandbox.
