Just how scary is it? It looks kind of like Bioshock level scary (the original, first one), and if so that's within my limits. But if it's really really scary there's no point in me buying it.

But at least the Feral store do sell keys, so there's that. :)

Quoting: Alm888Sounds correct under the circumstance that you have so much against Steam. I'm a bit worried that I in reality will have very little to choose from, since I don't want several sources/accounts for my games. To have all games on one distribution platform have such huge advantages - similar to the package repo for a distro.Quoting: BeamboomFine by me.Quoting: Alm888How about other stores? Something that not restrict games by region… GOG? itch.io?If they include Steam keys in their offerings it's fine with me?
Or how about the Humble Bundle store? That's Steam keys too. Or maybe only Steam keys?
So, to summarize, we make a wager.
I, Alm888, say "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will not be released on Linux during 2018 and if this is true you, Beamboom, are obliged to gift me a game of my choosing not exceeding $12 (sorry, I want to count in $, hope it is OK) on a store of my choosing.

Is everything OK?
This should be fun. In the worst case scenario (for me) I will have the opportunity to actually test a gifting system! :)

Bah these guessing games are FUN, chepati and Mohandevir! It doesn't spoil anything. It doesn't affect any release dates. It's just for good measure.
Keep us guessing, Feral!

Quoting: GuestAlso, HTC Vive and Fallout 4 VR, with the original game (neither on Mac nor Linux) as a consolation perhaps? If profit is the motive, there's a lot of untapped customers out there for this installment.
Quoting: evergreenIf it is a spoiled cracker, than it will be a post apocaliptic survival game.Yes, yes. Keep the dream alive. What do we have, if not our dreams!

Quoting: Sil_el_moti just bought a vive at christmas on second hand market (450€ it was for 1 year warranty left)Yeah that sounds about right. It's in that price area here in Norway too, now.
Quoting: Sil_el_motBut ducking and strafing in real , blocking and hacking too brought me fun for hours (and its a very good exercise too :D )To be honest, that's part of why I want this so bad to succeed. It is the only viable direction where I can see myself actually get some proper exercise of any significant amount. :)

Quoting: lucifertdarkWell that just shows what he "the expert" knows about the subject of when it's likely to hit most people's desktops, for the majority it's NEVER going to happen, not at the current prices they're charging.Have you checked the second hand market? Here in Norway the Vive sets are really starting to get down to a fairly OK level now. The required upgrade of the PC will be far more expensive than the VR kit itself.

Quoting: Alm888And your bet is? (Like, what do you offer in case of loss)How about a game of winners choice, max €10, during Steam December Holiday sales?
It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

Almost anything open world based, yes. Preferably with a futuristic theme but heck I'll take anything I can dive into and LIVE. As long as it has a single player campaign and not just mp sandbox.
