It looks quite... bad, actually. The audio is all over the place, bad vocal performances, lacuster graphics, generic animations...

Action with a story is what I crave. Big and flashy stuff. Shooters, adventure games, action rpgs, first or third person view modern action games.

Valve announce a new game that's not Half-Life 3, introducing 'Artifact', a card game

To be honest, I'd rather have a really big sequel to the left4dead series than half-life. Yes I'm serious.
L4d has more potential in it, and is a fantastic coop game. While At this point it's impossible to make a Hl3 that would not disappoint. The myth must remain forever.

So, finally the game in its entirely is about to be released. That sure took some time. This is Enemy Within all over again, and that dlc annoyed the white out of my eyes. These components should have been there from the start.

But I learn. I've not yet played this game more than just to conclude that it still is one of the very best franchises on Linux today.

But damn those dlcs.

Linux desktop market share hit an all time high in July, according to one measure

If you need to compile a regular program on a Linux desktop system today, you're doing it wrong. There's guaranteed to be a better way or you've stumbled across an extreme edge case.
I've not compiled a source code package on my Ubuntu system in what must be ten years now,and I use my machine for gaming, music production and all general use. Most of the time you just use software from the default repositories. It's way, waaaaaaay easier than on Windows - it's literally just a command to install.

Quoting: ArdjeReally? No "IP"...
They must talk about software, game IPs. And objectively speaking they are right. It's been ages since any new IP has arisen from them. Not sure how much it matters, though.

... But do the controller really receive frequent updates? Then I wonder if something is wrong for me cause I've not seen a single update since I got it just before Xmas last year?

Dogma: Eternal Night, an in-development MMORPG already has Linux builds

This setting is just a long time dream coming true for me! I totally loved Vampire Bloodlines, and a mmorpg with a modern day goth feel is what I've wanted since forever.

Fantastic to see a rpg going off the standard medieval / fantasy setting and aim for something unique. Please please let this game be good!
