Powerful enough to run OpenMW maybe? There was a video of the Retroid Pocket 2 (an Android device) running it, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmzlQtdl64k [External Link]
Godot Engine getting plenty of major 2D advancements for the 4.0 release

Quoting: KimyrielleThe tile-set system in Godot really needs some love. Right now, you can't even assign properties to tiles, which means that entire genres such as 2D RPGs or RTS are practically infeasible to implement with Godot. I am so happy to see that they're not just trying to catch up with the 3D leaders out there, but still improve the 2D part as well. I am really looking forward to the 4.0 release. It can't come soon enough! :)Being worked upon. https://twitter.com/gr0ud/status/1333810426501615616 [External Link]

Godot seems to be inspiring a lot of similar engines lately. Let's see if they can actually compete with it.

Curious, Dicey Dungeons is Haxe and its mod tool in Godot. Would be interesting to see more use of Godot for general application development (beyond game-modding tools like Dicey Modgens) like Pixelorama...

Quoting: EikeUnderstand that it's not really about benefiting Godot, but about harming Unity. Clearly they feel the risk that some users might use Godot over Unity (and not UE4 over Unity) is outweighed by the benefits.Quoting: rkfgGood publicity (they really need it), competition is good for everyone. To name a few.I never heard the thoery that competition is good for one of the competitors.
Having a monopoly is good for a competitor (which then stops to be a competitior, of course.)

How bizarre. Why would Epic want to support a rival project, commercial or not, open source or not?

Considering Open Surge was once Open Sonic... it's nice to see this get more exposure, for a long time it's been pretty obscure.
