Quoting: AnzaI wasn't very good at stealth, so things usually ended up me having to knock everybody unconscious that would be running into my general direction. Bank was one of the worst places. Lot of security to get past.

Might have been easier to play it like regular FPS and just kill everybody...
Gah. They really did mess up the pacing badly towards the end. Prague is just a painful grind even with max stealth.. and of course it eats up all the Energy you need for London. I'm now at the last quest in the game and finding it a total nightmare... tempted to just blast through it purely so I've done it.
And I now discover I totally should've done the Heist mission, since it's impossible to get the best ending without it. Damn. This is a major damper on what was, up to now, arguably the best game I've ever played

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, where Proton *vastly* outperforms Native [60fps Ultra vs 25fps Low]. The game is absolutely stunning and has rocketed up my all-time favourites list. I'm just about to hit the final stage [London], playing as a stealthy non-lethal hacker.
I was going to stealth through both the Machine God / Heist timelines, but am now considering a full replay as mad ninja killing machine

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoNow that EA play is officially on Steam, Valve must update Proton for to have a proper EA play client usage.
Here's hoping. It's currently very grim. I've managed to get the grand total of one game working, with no DLCs. Origin is *awful*. I've sent a support email to EA asking the to either fix it or remove it, since installing Origin per game is a flat out nightmare

Tore my way through Dead Space 1 & 2, the latter now being one of my favourite games ever. On to Deus Ex Human Revolution Dir Cut. While it's a terrible PC port, I'm struggling to put it down with 18 hours played over the last few days.
While I've been long frustrated by the sheer number of unplayed games in my Steam Library, I'm glad I waited until I had a beefy gaming PC. So worth it.

Quoting: PatolaBut I feel sad for the cries to cancel that individual, it's cancel culture to its fullest. What's wrong with cancelling someone if they deserve it?
What on earth are you talking about? This isn't 'cancel culture', it's half a game studio quitting because their manager is a known abusive sex pest arsehole who should have been fired.

My employment history is deeply varied - from voice acting to nursing to retail - but one thing is 100% consistent: bad managers make working life utter hell for those who have to work under them. There are, generally, three solutions - promote them, fire them, or watch good staff leave. This studio chose option 3.

Recently finished the Wolfenstein series (New Order and Old Blood were great, New Colossus was dreadful), now playing through the new Tomb Raiders and Batmans. I'm seriously impressed with Tomb, which is a nice surprise as I had zero time for the original games. Batman isn't quite doing it for me, though. I also bought Dying Light Enhanced this morning, since I'm trying to specifically support Linux developers
