Zowie Gear EC2-A Gaming Mouse: A Linux Gamer's Review, Initial Impressions And Early Performance
25 Apr 2015 at 8:29 pm UTC

Hi, Kyrottimus. Very nice review. I was surprised about how your story is so similar to mine. It is really hard to find a good quality mouse that does not look like something out of transformers movie.

I ended up choosing Roccat Kone Pure. I am not using the additional functionality of the drivers all that much, but being able to quickly make the initial configuration via a program was actually quite convenient.

Quoting: KimyrielleI am actually surprised that the numbers aren't going up more noticeably compared to 1-2 years ago...
I think it is because what we are seeing right now is Linux users getting into gaming, and not gamers getting into Linux. Not yet.

BioShock Infinite Released For Linux, Thanks To Virtual Programming

Quoting: LinasI was a skeptical when I heard that this is an eON port (is it, really?), but they must have done something right because it runs very well on high settings on my laptop with NVIDIA Quadro K1100M. Whereas Witcher 2 has (had?) horrible input lag, even on lowest settings, on the same machine.
I have to take that back. The input lag is not as bad as Witcher 2, but it is there. It seems that input lag is the "defining feature" of eON.

It is not available on Steam, even though it was indicated on Humble Bundle that it does. They updated the list of Steam platforms to exclude Linux now.

Bioshock Infinite Early Linux Port Report

When I got to the action scenes, I did start noticing the input lag. It is not nearly as bad as Witcher 2, but it is definitely there. I am playing on Quadro K1100M which is no that powerful, but it can definitely handle the graphics. Just the damn input lag messing up otherwise great experience.

Unfortunately I am just getting a segfault:

Nothing really useful in the backtrace either. Any ideas?
