There was not really a need for that. There is an upgrade path available between major version. It usually is made public a a few days after the .ISO on the release announcement page.
Should you still be on 19.3 you will have to upgrade to 20.x first before going to 21.04, though, if you want go that route.
Yeah, I know there's a way to do it without a full-install .. but when I was doing research for common issues, etc just to be thorough, all the solutions seemed to boil down to "just do a fresh install" ...:dizzy:

You mean the outdated, potentially broken version (just like most packages in universe/multiverse)?
I guess? I mean, it's worked fine for me... just letting people know it exists (besides flatpak)

Depends how many emails they send on that one day of the week, dunnit?
Indeed, though (in theory) having a rolling email process would be faster imho

.. I suppose if the reservation system is really smooth using this method, it's vastly preferable to Analogue Co's absolute sh!tshow of a pre-order launch, despite it maybe taking longer

^^This... using tokens on a cryptographic block chain has a use.. .just not a scammy money-making scheme that it seems to be used as these days.
