This is the exact route I'd take as a game dev to make sure Linux gamers could enjoy my game—I'd leave out the promise of a Linux native build tho, hopefully pissing off less people.

I finally beat BioShock 1 a couple of months ago (OMG, that took how many years!?) but I enjoyed Infinite so much I'd likely go for a fourth playthrough—good to know this workaround for 2K's bullshit.
