That's cool. I just realized that (IMO) Linux is very compatible with Steam as they seem to have always been okay with others taking their projects and "running with it/rolling their own" and even making some money off the side project.

Classic Sonic games being delisted to make way for Sonic Origins

It's a little tempting to snatch them up…but I keep reminding myself that I was never into the Sonic franchise, even back when there were pay phones on every corner. Where's the old-moji? lol

Well, although I don't believe that blog post could have been any more succinct, it was a mind boggling read (to me). I won't hold my breath on playing Halo Infinite any time soon but, I imagine, this R&D is highly beneficial in the long run for the VKD3D team and us end users—I'm preemptively grateful.

Back 4 Blood adds experimental support for Linux and Steam Deck
16 Apr 2022 at 12:33 am UTC

We have made an experimental change that we believe will make the game playable on Proton platforms such as the Steam Deck, SteamOS, and Linux.

FWIW it was working in the first place before final release…it must've been the devs whom killed it in the first place, but now that Steam Deck is in the lime light… who knows, I'll wait for a super sale.

I've been on the fence for awhile…and am glad I hopped to the Linux side last year (also, "F Apple!"). In a sad side note; I'm playing so many games now that my health is suffering! :woot:

What I don't understand is [to] what version(s) of Proton does this (currently) apply?
