Would be amazing but also almost impossible.
even GOG galaxy don't work with all of them.
steam, to launch ea games needs to call origin, etc.
Unfortunately, this is a impossible task, even for big companies.

I'm not sure about achievements.
Right now I'm focusing on having the same features we have for the epic store with the ability to download other assets as well. Because some games provides dlcs but also wallpapers, soundtracks, different languages and so on.
So the focus on GOG is to make something similar and simple as we are doing for the epic. 🙂

Yes, theming is planned. But we are working on the redesign first, because we want to support other stores, GOG for instance, soon. Maybe on 2.0 I expect :)

With great releases, we get some bugs as always and I just released 1.8.1 to fix the issue with Heroic telling there is an update even if you're the latest version.

Other than that, everything looks fine :grin:

Check if you have python 3 version 3.8 or above installed. Normally this happens because of this. Distros like OpenSuse Leap and Debian stable have an old version of python so it won't work.

Well, there's no actual store, no buying or redeeming games currently. So that's a big one they might never be able to solve. That is, unless they embed a limited CEF-like browser into it that points to the Epic Store itself.

Like Kirghan said above. It's possible to access the store, buy and redeem games. But I'm not sure if we are able to get the epic grant, although I haven't think about it.
BTW, your suggestion to have the recent games on tray is being worked and its planned for 1.8. Also with desktop shortcuts for those (like me) that wants to play the from steam using steam link.

I have a 3440x1440 screen with DP and it works fine. Even freesync/gsync is working perfectly with latest drivers.

Best news ever!
Since most games don't run at 100% (sometimes even not 50% for dx12) compared to windows, that will make Linux gaming more competitive.

Right now I'm playing Nioh 2 and DLSS makes a huge difference.
Control as well and Cyberpunk could get some great benefits from it.

Like you said, if you need epic you can use legendary, rare, now imagine that the only option for that was using Egs emulated on wine like it was until before?

I mean, you use Linux and do you ask why there is arch if Ubuntu already exists?

Also, when I started heroic rare wasn't launched yet, they got back to the project after heroic start I know because we talk a lot
us, devs from heroic, rare and legendary. This is not a competition, we are all friends.

We make open source code and we are proud of that.

Why electron? Simple, because its the only language I know since I work with it, not electron but Web tech. And this is the way I found out to contribute to open source.

Why can't people simple be happy that we have several options and everyone can use anything they like?

That's the good about open source, am I wrong?
You don't have to use anything that you don't want to. Simple be happy that you have people working to make open source software. 🙂
