Will you be buying one?Well... on one hand it's ugly as sin, on the other hand it seems to have damn good specs for the price it commands... if it ships and people are happy with it I may consider it.

Quoting: EikeI guess you should disable max frame rate and V-Sync, though.I already do... mainly because my PC is a potato and turning off V-Sync can give me some extra frames sometimes.

And alas, Gnash gets no love, let's rewrite it in Rust. Still, neat that Archive keeps flash stuff alive, it's really starting to become a digital museum.

Quoting: benjamimgoisI advocate for some years that a rolling kernel is better model for desktop usage, speacially if you are into gaming. For servers and corporate enviroments i still prefer to be in a LTS release with long support kernels.I've been happily using rolling release distros (A and OSTW) for about... 5, 6 years now? I don't think I could go back to standard release distros, I'm too lazy to go through all the hassle every year.

Quoting: 1xokI think there is a positive attitude and curiosity at Valve. They don't sell insurance and do pure profit maximization. Life must also be fun and have some meaning.Like good old Interplay Black Isle: "we want to make games, to make games we need money." compared to EA Bioware: "we want money, to get money we need to make games."

Quoting: Luke_NukemopenSUSE has been using it by default for years. It works fine and is a lifesaver with snapper and the ability to boot previous snaps.
Quoting: shorbergopenSUSE have done done it for a few years now, seems to generally work fine. It is also better tuned to be used as a default for the general masses than ext4 these days since it allows things like checksumming, compression, snapshots and copy-on-write while still being a widely used and integrated system compared to say ZFS.I would like to third this argument plus add that being able to turn off COW in btrfs submodules is really useful for stuff like /var.
