They deserve all the success they have. What's really great is after all this time they have wisely not become a publicly traded company. Who would then be fully beholden and have a fiduciary responsibility of growth and ultimately profit to their shareholders.

Valve continues to make Linux gaming more practical and this increases how quickly you can swap and play various games. Nothing worse than trying to start a game and having to wait for an update. Granted shader cache updates can usually be skipped to get load the game faster

Without this occurring a decade ago, they would have missed a major opportunity with the Steam Deck. Nor would desktop Linux be mine, and many other PC building gamers daily driver. Since we can play the vast majority of our favorite games on Linux. Just think what the next decade will bring.

Might go this route in the future one day. Especially since new games are becoming larger and larger. Thankfully SD cards support is pretty solid for the current faster cards.

Had good fun here over time. Haven't played since many builds ago. I'm curious too how well it runs on my current rig. Hmm might hop back in to see if the bots have taken back over again.

This whole ordeal just proves that for Ubisoft they clearly aren't selling in house games as well on their own platform. Nor have they dedicated any additional resources to the Steam releases. Even the games achievements are still synced through Ubisoft Connect and can can break if you afk in their games too long. Long standing bugs still exist in their games like The Division 2.(you can become trapped in the NYC zone for example and cause the game to crash by simply opening the map to DC). I don't plan to purchase any additional games from them going forward. The irony is I was sent an invite to test their new game The Crew Motorfest.

This is one of their games where the newer one isn't nearly as good as the previous. Ghost Recon Wildlands had less bugs and better features.
