Thanks for the article Liam!
@RafiLinux, yes LAN support exists (and always has). You'll have to enable the "custom server lobby" in the option menu to access it. Also to get the full version Steam is required. Enjoy!

Hey Liam, thanks for the great review. Glad to hear you like the new bots.
Also regarding the free multiplayer demo, players can also play it through Steam by clicking the download demo button on the right. I only mention it because if players get that version of the demo Steam will keep it auto updated.
Enjoy the weekend!
Ben.

Hey Liam, cheers for the article!
lucifertdark, if the moving isn't immediate the only thing I can think of is that you're running the game at a low fps and it's just a bit laggy. Maybe try disable the graphics settings?
As for spending money you can do it in 2 parts:
1) At the end of each level, when the next map loads you'll see a screen with all the items you've discovered and can choose which ones to permanently unlock.
2) In-game, whenever you walk into a checkpoint you can press B to open the buy menu, and then you can choose from all the items you've unlocked.

Hey guys, bencelot the developer here! Just want to say thank you for writing this article, I really appreciate it. And I certainly welcome comparisons to GTA2, it was a huge inspiration for me!
I also wanted to say that as of this morning the release date has been pushed back a few weeks to May 23rd, 2017. I've been getting too much valuable feedback from the demo and I want to give players the best starting experience possible. Anyway I'll shoot you a message over Twitter so you now this is me.
Hope to see more linux gamers soon! Try the free demo :D
