Manage your Linux PC remotely as KDE Connect lands on iPhone and iPad

Quoting: Nic264This looks like Android battery optimizations. In the Android settings you should have an option to disable any battery-related restrictions for KDE Connect. It looks like this [External Link] on my phablet under Applications → KDE Connect → Battery → No restrictions.I've got "Allow battery usage in background", but "Battery usage optimized". Works all fine. (Android 9)

Quoting: ripper81358While i have used KDE Plasma for many years i am not happy with KDE Connect. It is a great tool but for some reason the connection to my androidphone fails as soon as the screen is locked.I can pause and restart Clementine (including internet radio) and YouTube playback from the lock screen with it...
I have to unlock the phone while my PC is running, otherwise my phone isn't detected by KDE Connect. I don't know if this caused by Android or my Kubuntu system, but this issue is rendering KDE Connect useless for me.

Quoting: fenglengshunKDE Connect also has a Windows release I think, though unfortunately it couldn't work with my Win7 laptop from work. Honestly, it's really versatile.Does Windows have similar programs? Because I too think it's a really cool and handy thing!

You are correct! We should have realized this sooner, thank you for pointing this out! To the rest of our Linux fans - while we are still testing native Linux build - please go to Catie's properties (right click on Catie in your game list) and force "Compatibility mode" to "Proton".

I guess I'll give it a try with my 4 year olds.
And if they don't like it, I play it on my own. :)

Steam Deck hits 2,500 games Verified or Playable
5 May 2022 at 3:25 pm UTC
But my bigger worry is games marked as playable or verified which just stop working (like reported on this very site). The number of games is not the most important aspect in my humble opinion, it's the "stability" of support.
What's supported mustn't stop working.

Quoting: wit_as_a_riddleOf the games in my library marked as unsupported at least 11 should work fine on Linux (most of them natively), of 131 rated at all. That's 8%.Quoting: WorMzyGiven how hit and miss this verification system seems to be, the number is entirely meaningless. The miss percentage is way under 1%, so this take is downright goofy.

Quoting: scaine:grin::heart:Quoting: EikeI don't think so. Basically, right after the second turn in the corridor outside your office, door 416 is now open with a big sign saying "New Content Here". I zipped through some of the older content, but didn't see much change, so I think they've done a good job of keeping it all obviously separate.Quoting: scaineI thought I'd give the new content a quick try yesterday and ended up spending a surprising 5 hours! It's such a cool game, and the new content is very well done. Really enjoying it.I played the original over five years ago (achievement: Go outside, yes! :D ). Will I stumble over lots of content that forgot enough to not be able to avoid it, but not enough to be amused again?
