Happy Birthday!

I understood that this started as a hobby project and turned into being professional some day? I seemed to be missing the turning point though, if it was publicly announced...?

Quoting: ObsidianBlkI'm going to play devils advocate here...
I honestly do not see anything wrong with Humble wanting to get some money from their bundles.
Agreed, but I'm surprised by the numbers. It's not like the current market they're talking about is going up to 30% at the moment. I expected less than 10% as their minimum part.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) rolls out to everyone and it works on Linux

Quoting: LoftyThe context of the article is to replace traditional high end PC or console gaming via streaming at a low/no net loss to what we have now.
No matter how high end your PC is now - it won't be in some years. That's when it makes sense to check if it's worth to invest one or even two thousand bucks, not when you just bought a new one. (I don't say the answer is clear, just that the question makes sense.)

Quoting: sigmichMain reason I don't use Debian a while are outdated Nvidia drivers because I need stable branch for some specific software. Could DUR be used also for installing graphic drivers?
Backports has the latest stable drivers.
That's what I wanted to recommend as well. If you need to, you can even use the Nvidia driver from experimental (fear though not!). The driver seems to be so separated from the rest, this never gave me headaches either. But backports should be optimal.

Quoting: denyasisSince I'm not buying any games this year, I decided to finish the games I own. I have a bad habit of not finishing games.

So I'm still playing Wasteland 2. Still enjoying it. I don't get a ton of play time, so I think I'll finish it by August.
I avoid starting all those big RPGs at the moment due to lack of time. Is it still fun? I think I would forget all the rules, tactics, story, ...

Backlog--

Finally played through Rise of the Tomb Raider. It's fun! (I'm leaving out all collecting stuff though.)

Metro Exodus for Linux to run better on AMD GPUs soon with a Mesa fix now merged

Quoting: AnorelsanOn the steam forums someone says that maybe is for an unsuported cpu. It seems strange to me, I have a Ryzen 1800X, a little old but that old? I will dig a little more. I want to play it, enjoyed the first and second, but possibly will be in the future when I change my pc.
I answered over there (as Zyro). I think playing around with kernel (downgrade?) or mesa version (upgrade?) should be able to solve it.

Metro Exodus for Linux to run better on AMD GPUs soon with a Mesa fix now merged

Quoting: AnorelsanHello I just bought this game and have an instant crash on startup, not even showing anything. I know that my system is old (ryzen 1800x, r290, 32GB RAM), but do you know if it runs on mesa 20 or i must update to mesa 21 to run it? It works under wayland?

ed: digging into steam forums seems that it can run under mesa 20 (with the memory leak) and wayland, but no luck. Maybe will be my first refund. :(
Did you try from terminal? I was shown a library missing, some libibus or something.

Quoting: crabelThe full game Backbone is mostly the prologue. The story afterwards is a) short and b) linear. And incomplete.
Too bad, it looked promising!

On a side note, you now can finally remove a game from the wish list directly from the shop page (drop down at the right of wish list button)...
