Quoting: FredOExcellent news that GOL now has a Valve Index - a huge donation for sure. I've been finding it hard to get an overview of the current status of VR on Linux and have held of getting any kit for that reason, so maybe you can now bring some clarity to the topic...?Liam is too busy with Alyx. ;)

Quoting: GeoGalvanicI'm genuinely surprised by the number of people that continue to only have one monitor. Jump from 2 to 4 felt really nice, but the going from 1 to 2 is absolutely game changing. For work, yes, it's good (though in home office, I do live without), for private use, I don't need it. When I bought a new monitor (long ago), I was excited about the possibility. I removed the second one sooner or later, as it just wasn't used. It is still sitting under the table. And in gaming, I don't want to see anything but the game.

(And it seems Liam found that, too, as it's not even shown in the statistics?)

Quoting: WorMzyIt's kinda redundant to ask for CPU model AND core count. The latter can be extrapolated from the former. Core counts are a pretty useless metric anyway, especially when it comes to a gaming context.I consider a huge list of CPU model names useless.

Quoting: shorbergAs a side-note: Did it always say "Publisher", didn't it use to say "Developers"? Because those are not the same thing.I vaguely remember the same. In the context, it would be the same though, I guess. Maybe "[X] Give money to the people who allowed us to put the game here because they've got the right to do so whoever they are" was a bit too long. ;)

I don't know if that has been possible before, but you can also browse games with a demo (and Linux support)!

I didn't follow closely, but I'm surprised they've made the switch to default to Wayland.
I guess they wouldn't have done the same for an LTS version...?
