Not quite correct ... if the publisher had released the game on Steam as originally planned, instead of making it Epic-exclusive for 1 year, then you would have been able to
a) been able to play with Proton from the beginning (much easier at least). And
b) the native Linux build would probably have come much earlier ... precisely because Steam offers the infrastructure for it (Epic and the others just not).

Therefore, the publisher's decision meant a big disadvantage for Linux players in terms of availability of the game.

That's not rendering anything I said incorrect. I didn't even judge about all those reasons, I just listed them.

It's higher than you might naively expect by the market share on Steam because they actually did marketing amongst the Linux crowd, rather than simply pressing the "build for Linux" button and throwing it over the wall unannounced (and untested) like a distressing number of devs do.

It's high percentage-wise on Humble because they had a sale on Humble at the same time as they announced the release of the Linux version.

One thing I want to mention (again): If 1% of the Steam users use Linux, and say a quarter of the games are actually ported to Linux, I'd expect the Linux gamers to divide their money on less games, so the expected Linux percentage for a game ported would be more like 4 percent. (Of course, this might be changed by Proton, where the money spreads on more games...)

I'm on debian buster with backports (kernel 5.10) and Nvidia 1060 super, driver 460.39.

On first attempt (after having installed libibus-1.0-5), the game stopped responding when trying to enter the options from the main menu. On subsequent attempts, it stopped responding when leaving the options. I got 23% CPU usage, so like 2 cores of my octo-core Ryzen.

Anyone?

Upgrading from Nvidia driver 460.39 to 460.67 helped me!

WOW THE REACTIONS HERE HAVE BEEN IMMENSE ☀ And thanks so much for that gold. We will bring our upcoming titles (another historical adventure Svoboda 1945 and not-yet-announced adventure about magical forest) to Linux as well and you guys/gals are really supportive and inspiring. Thans a lot and I believe other devs are missing out so much if they don't do Linux!

I don't know why using an english term to indicate a different meaning, i just learnt about that :)

I'm no native speaker either, so we've got two barriers. ;)
I actually find it amazing that people from so many different places can communicate that well with each other in the end.

The cutscenes are fine in my humble opinion. I avoided most of the written lore sooner or later though. It was more interruption of atmosphere than building atmosphere.
